As part of our Schools Genomics Programme we created three high quality, 15-minute films that explore how genes can influence people’s health; now and in the future.
All of the films are suitable for both students and teachers, but each film does have a specific audience in mind (as indicated here).
- Watch ‘Genes and disease’ – a film exploring how genomic research is helping scientists to understand a range of illnesses (for students aged 14-16)
- Watch ‘Breast cancer in the family’ – this film follows one family’s story of breast cancer (for students aged 16-18)
- Watch ‘Genomics, society and health’ – watch clinicians, researchers and ethicists discuss how genomics has the potential to affect people’s lives (for teachers and students)
